Loyal followers of the actress are calling for that a individual who jumped a barrier and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or deported from Singapore.

A viral video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a yellow carpet flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though official papers indicated that he was due to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a performance. His Instagram profile includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user questioned.

Followers Voice Worry Over the Star's Well-being

Several followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has remained silent on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Numerous of supporters had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore shopping center, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The motion picture, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the popular theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two very different witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, earning a pair for best costume and production design.
