The tall defender A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, as always, could serve as another option for Stones in the backline as opposed to paired with him. A loose ball in the second half came close to the first goal from Albania. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly One more confident display by the youngster after his debut versus Serbia. A teammate failed to make the opportunity from a gorgeous flick over the Albania defence. His position looks secure at this stage. 7/10

Adam Wharton A debut start for his country. Slightly sloppy in possession though his whipped corners were a threat. An effective tempo-setter for the coach to utilize versus teams who drop deep. Booked after a reckless foul. 6/10

Declan Rice Crosses from dead balls and free kicks caused problems. Had license to drift in left midfield but was in an offside position as the pass came with a chance to score. Awarded a deserved substitution on the hour mark. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Played in an advanced position on the right and also contributed with the hard yards. Showed moments of class but dragged a shot wide. Replaced towards the end by a teammate, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance of the first half, his strike well saved from the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate holding position, it fell to him to provide width down the right side yet his deliveries into the box varied in quality. Substituted late in the match. 6/10

The captain The difference-maker netting two more goals at international level. The opener a typical poacher’s finish and his next an excellent header after peeling away away from the opposition. At 32, he continues to improve and England have every chance next summer with him leading the line. Eight

Eberechi Eze Had difficulty to make an impact on the left flank. Was presented with a presentable chance after being played in from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. Rashford made much more of effect when substituted. 5
