I will stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
