Former Doctor Charged with Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have stated that a former doctor has been charged with committing sexual assaults against 38 victims who were patients.
Details of the Serious Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – including some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
